How Does OCPP Work?
OCPP works by connecting the charging station (hardware) to the network management system (software). When an EV plugs in, OCPP lets the station talk to the back-office system to track the charging session, handle billing, and run remote diagnostics. Because of this, OCPP-compliant chargers aren't locked to any single software platform, giving you the freedom to manage your charging network however you choose.
